We’ve had our first snowfall in Méribel and with a lot more forecast over the next couple of days, things are looking very positive for the start to the season – just a month away now!
If the temperatures stay low, the outstanding snowmaking capabilities of Les Trois Vallées (2189 snow canons covering 49% of the ski area!) will ensure one of the best starts to the season in recent years.
Première Neige is a magical time for a ski resort, as it comes alive once again with an air of expectation and excitement of the season ahead.
In the weeks leading up to the lifts opening, the resort is a hive of activity with staff arriving, chalets being cleaned in preparation for their first guests and shops and restaurants are buzzing with the meetings of old and new friends.
Once the lifts open, the first week or two are often a fabulous time on the slopes for anyone lucky enough to experience them. The pistes should be prepped and groomed to perfection and with the crowds yet to arrive you will often find you have them to yourself.
Our chalets are opening on 9th December, to coincide with the lifts opening on 10th December, so why not join us and enjoy the first snow of the season. If you can’t make it for the full week, we are offering a short break from 9th – 12th December.
We also have a couple of chalets available on 16th December – the first week of the school holidays! What better way to enjoy the lead up to Christmas than a week in a festive winter wonderland!
