It’s now less than four months until the lifts open in Méribel for Winter 2018/19 and we can’t wait!
It has certainly been quite a Summer here in the UK and whilst we don’t want to wish away the amazing weather that the UK has been enjoying, we can’t help but be a little excited that the next ski season is creeping ever closer!
The summer is always a busy time for us here at Meriski HQ, with lots of careful planning and preparation for the season ahead. We take our time to review our overseas operation and look at any feedback from our guests, as we plan ahead and consider any changes.
New for 2018, we will have dedicated Chalet Managers working within each of the chalets, who will be responsible for the day to day running of the chalet. The Chalet Manager will also be the main point of contact for guests prior to their holiday and will be on hand to discuss everything from arrival details and dietary requirements to ski pass and restaurant bookings.
Our Resort Managers, Davina and Alun, will be back with us for next season along with a high number of returning staff, so our resort operation will have an experienced team, offering our guests an excellent Meriski experience.
Richard, our Head Chef, is also returning for his fourth season working for Meriski. Richard is passionate about the food he creates and in particular incorporating the ever-changing available ingredients into his menus. Richard will be working with all of our chefs to create fresh and seasonal menus, which guests can look forward to after working up an appetite on the slopes.
We can, of course, cater for all dietary requirements and encourage guests to discuss these with us at the time of booking or with their Chalet Manager prior to arrival. We also endeavour to accommodate any other food and drink requests over and above what is included in our menus, subject to the availability of ingredients in resort, and these will be charged for locally.
To complement Richard’s menus, we will again have our exclusively selected house wine list, which has been carefully curated with our partner Paul Boyer Wines to satisfy all tastes, including the beautifully well balanced but lively Antech Blanquette Réserve Brut which is served with canapés before dinner. And to finish it all off guests can enjoy cheese and coffee by the fire, with our Meriski petit fours.
As part of our Concierge Service, we also have a Cellar Wine list, available at an additional cost, with a larger selection of wines and spirits, including well-known winemakers from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne, which guests can choose from. Please do contact us if you would like any further information on this or guests can speak to their Chalet Manager prior to arrival if they would like to order any additional items.
Our new Chalet L’Arpege is just days away now from being finished. This exceptional ski in ski out chalet is already proving popular with our guests with many weeks already booked! We expect to have photos of the chalet by the end of September so do keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
There is still time to take advantage of our two Early Booking Offers. Book and pay in full by 31st August and receive 10% off all of our chalets for any weeks in January 2019 or receive 10% off Chalet Kashmir for ALL weeks of the 2018/19 season – call us now for more information!
We hope that you are just as excited about the forthcoming season as we are and very much look forward to welcoming you to Méribel and Meriski soon.
