Our resort staff members are key to the enjoyment of your holiday. So we spend a lot of time recruiting people who are able to deliver our high standards and meet our guests’ expectations.
We pride ourselves on offering a genuine and intuitive service. Our staff are enthusiastic, hard-working and professional people. We take pride not only in making sure that our guests have the best possible skiing holiday, but also in being a great company to work for. We hire people based on their skills, experience and attitude and expect the highest standards of work from them.
Sam and Ken, Resort Managers
Sam and Ken are returning for their fifth season working for Meriski and will be recognised by many of our returning guests. Having worked two seasons as a chalet couple, they have spent the last two seasons as resort managers. Ken is a professional chef and has worked all over the world, while Sam has a background working in top London hotels.
They live and breathe nature, spending the summer diving in warmer climes and the winter in the mountains. Along with their great care & attention and incredibly high standards, we are thrilled to be welcoming them back to Méribel this winter.
Peter, Head of Transport
After successfully running a Transport Company in the North East of England for over 40 years, Peter is returning to Meriski for his second season as Transport Manager. Having bought his own house in Méribel over 15 years ago, Peter has an insightful knowledge of the region and many of the locals!
Peter has had an exciting summer, spending his time driving a motor home around all the European Grand Prix destinations, combining his passion of taking care of people and of course, driving!
Peter will oversee our fleet of Drivers, ensuring that both our in-resort driver and airport transfer services run smoothly and efficiently. You may even see him walking his lovely Border Terrier, Digger!
Richard, Head Chef
After several years of working with some of the UK’s top chefs in a bid to expand on his talent and knowledge, Richard’s second passion, skiing, naturally led him to completing a successful season with Meriski.
Enjoying his first season based in Impala Lodge, Richard was motivated by the challenges of cooking at altitude and incorporating the ever-changing available ingredients into his menus, advancing his expertise. When Richard is not on the slopes, you can expect to find him sampling the dishes of some of Meribel’s restaurants – L’Igloo being a firm favourite!
We are excited that Richard will be returning this season as our Head Chef, to maintain and expand on the culinary experiences that our guests receive.
Kirsty, Head of Childcare & Chalet Manager
We are excited to be welcoming Kirsty back to Meriski for her fourth season with us, having previously worked as both a nanny and a chalet host. She is fully qualified in childcare, having over 10 years’ experience working with children and families, in a variety of environments.
Kirsty has spent the summer in Cornwall, advancing her hospitality skills in a top hotel before returning to the French Alps this winter. She will be part of the Meriski management team, supporting our resort managers, Ken & Sam. As well as ensuring your little ones have a holiday to remember, Kirsty is also taking on the role of Chalet Manager, overseeing all of our chalet staff to ensure that you too, have a superb holiday with Meriski.
Harry, Guest Services Manager
After successfully completing last season hosting in Impala Lodge, we are delighted that Harry is returning to Meriski as our Guest Services Manager. With a diverse background in hospitality and his passion for delivering exceptional customer service, he will be a great addition to the resort management team.
Whether you are looking to book a table in a top restaurant or wanting to do something extra special to celebrate an occasion, Harry will be on hand to ensure that your stay with Meriski will be one to remember.
