Méribel sits centre stage at the heart of Les Trois Vallées, the world's largest linked skiing area. Courchevel, La Tania, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires, and Val Thorens are all just a ski lift away, forming a vast skiers' paradise of over 600km of groomed pistes; and now a fourth arena, Orelle, is fast developing behind Val Thorens.
With mountain peaks rising to 3,300 metres, the snow cover is often the envy of other resorts, even in late April. Some 550 snow cannons cover more than 350 acres of home runs.
NO QUEUEING
Queuing is a rarity thanks to the outstanding electronic lift pass system that does not require photos; two 50 person cable cars, over 40 gondolas and 25 high speed chairlifts. Taking everything into account, it is little wonder that skiers from around the world enjoy skiing in Meribel year after year.
NON-SKIING ACTIVITIES
Méribel ski holidays don’t exclude non-skiers as Meribel has an impressive array of non-skiing pursuits from which to choose:
- walking
- snow shoeing
- parasailing
- snow biking
- scenic flights
In addition, there is an Olympic size skating rink, bowling alley and indoor swimming pool (great for children), and an international cinema all within walking distance of our Meribel chalets
There is, of course, no shortage of shops, après-ski bars, restaurants and night clubs.
